What class works best for you?

Yoga Revelation is an independent and locally-owned entity, and teachers have the flexibility to adapt their outreach to the needs of each student.

As you get to know the diverse cadre of yogis in the community, please do communicate your yoga experience and interests. You should come away more relaxed, open, and grounded in your body after the sessions.

Meditation

Mindfulness meditation (vipassana) is a way of self-transformation through self-observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body. It is this observation-based, self-exploratory journey to the common root of mind and body that dissolves mental impurity, resulting in a balanced mind full of love and compassion. Sessions are by donation, with 100% of proceeds donated to local charities.

Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga

We offer heated sessions as well as room-temperature sessions. Vinyasa means "to place in a special way." These sessions are designed to align physical movement with breath, balancing effort and ease as you move your body through different asanas, or yoga poses. You will engage and stretch many parts of your body with standing poses, balancing poses, backbends, and inversions. Modifications are offered for beginners, and “Foundations” and “Beginner” specifically focus on the fundamentals. Power Yoga sessions, on the other hand, offer a challenge to intermediate and advanced students. The session will conclude with meditation or mindful rest. The pace and emphasis of the session will vary by teacher and by the teacher’s focus for the day.

Qigong

An ancient health practice that helps participants reduce stress, stretch, and strengthen. Qigong is considered to be a moving meditation that helps link body, mind, and breath. Music is used to enhance this energy (“Qi/Chi”) restoring experience.

Kids Yoga

In these sessions, children explore, imagine, sing, create art, and play while learning yoga poses, breathing, and creative movement. During each fun adventure, children experience the multi-faceted benefits of yoga, such as focus, balance, relaxation, connection, and building strength. In this non-competitive, process-oriented environment, we create the foundation for a lifetime of health and wellness.

Gentle Yoga

Generally, the gentle yoga family of styles (somatic, yin, nidra and restorative) is performed in a seated or reclined position, and encourages non-attachment and backing away from more active muscular engagement. Gentleness can enable us to find balance within our active lifestyles. Somatic yoga is characterized by fluid movement, yin focuses on deep stretches and long holds, while nidra and restorative yoga are the most restful styles within this family.

Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga

Students will learn safe breathing practices and strengthening and lengthening poses for pregnancy and the postpartum period. Empower yourself to have a peaceful pregnancy and birth while connecting with other women in studio or from the comfort of home.
